Leadership

Our Leadership

The mission of St. Annis is to love God, to love others, and to magnify the name of Jesus Christ. The vision of our church is to glorify our God and Savior, Jesus Christ, to make true disciples throughout all the nations by means of missionary activity and support, to minister the ordinances, to edify believers, and to do all that is sovereignly possible and biblically permissible to magnify the name of Jesus.

Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.

Elder Eugene Johnson, Pastor Emeritus

Elder Johnson was pastor of  St. Annis for 27 years. To recognize his faithful service, honor, and integrity as shepherd, St. Annis bestowed upon him the title of Pastor Emeritus to demonstrate our respect and gratitude.

By God’s grace and Elder Johnson leadership, St. Annis grew both spiritually and financially.  Some of the accomplishments are as follows: fellowship hall was finished and completely furnished, Edna Mack & Hattie Nichols Scholarship Fund was established, purchased a fifteen passenger van, completed an addition, which connects Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall, which includes six classrooms, Pastor’s study and lounge, five restrooms, secretary’s and finance offices and closets, Young Christian Women Auxiliary and Male Usher Board was organized and Mary E Jones Scholarship Fund was established and etc.
